Storyline
| Plot Summary | Clint Eastwood stars as Walt Kowalski, a widower who holds onto his prejudices despite the changes in his Michigan neighborhood and the world around him. Kowalski is a grumpy, tough-minded, unhappy an old man, who can't get along with either his kids or his neighbors, a Korean War veteran whose prize possession is a 1972 Gran Torino he keeps in mint condition. When his neighbor Tao, a young Hmong teenager under pressure from his gang member cousin, tries to steal his Gran Torino, Kowalski sets out to reform the youth. Drawn against his will into the life of Tao's family, Kowalski is soon taking steps to protect them from the gangs that infest their neighborhood. |

posted on 16 April 2009The following movie is a great come back of a great director! I am very glad to admit that the critics were completely wrong and Gran Torino has nothing in common with Dirty Harry motifs. Of course, Walt Kowalski may have some similarities with him, but they are not evident since he is a distinctive character on his own.
The movie is really unbelievable, the one that deserves Oscar or even two. I was all ears and even eyes while watching it. I love the performance of Eastwood but the supporting cast was nice as well.
The movie is mind-blowing, I don't think Eastwood will ever create something like this.
