| Plot Summary | Robert Neville (Will Smith) is a brilliant scientist, but even he could not contain the terrible virus that was unstoppable, incurable, and man-made. posted on 19 May 2008In 2009 Dr Neville, a lieutenant colonel and a scientist, finds himself solely facing a universal biochemical and epidemical disaster caused by a revolutionary cancer cure (the premise). He is presented to the viewers as the last man on earth who manages to survive the affliction of the epidemic and tries industriously to find a vaccine and a cure to the rabies-like disease. He believes that his own blood could help bring out the desired results. Yet, unfortunately, it becomes so hard on Dr. Neville to face all this all alone while the infected humans (the dark seekers) quickly attack the healthy ones and turn them into zombies, murdering Dr. Neville’s last wishes to have a healthy companion. In his desperate quest for other survivors, Dr. Neville meets a woman and her son. Such a woman turns out to have a very effective role in the movie when at the end of the flick she hands over the cure that Neville discovers to another scientist at a sanctuary.
