King of California Review
posted on 18 May 2008Charlie, played by Michael Douglas, is a man that has dedicated his life to his many passions. However, within the last two years, an unlucky faith has sentenced him to a sanatorium. Nevertheless, that does not mean this is the end of his adventures because he manages to convince his adolescent daughter, Miranda to accompany him in his last craze: the search for a hidden treasure buried by the Spanish missionaries in California. What will follow is a series of devious adventures Charlie and Miranda go through to find the hidden treasure of California. The movie was shot in 31 days and it is one of the first long-movies of Mike Cahill.
