Storyline
| Plot Summary | Bandhagi Gopanna (Jagapathi Babu) calls for a revolt against the erring government and demands for a separate state for Telangana. Before his voice could reach the people he is killed. His widowed wife Jayamma (Smriti Irani) and son Varshit (Sandeep) relocate to Hyderabad where Varshit pursues his studies. He falls in love with Sahaja (Meera Nandan) who hails from Vijayawada. When Varshit visits his native village , he finds the backwardness in the Telangana region and he understands the need for a people’s struggle to have a separate Telangana state. He is compelled to lead the agitation after his close friend commits suicide. How Varshit leads the agitation forms the rest of the story. |
