Parasomnia

Description:

In "Parasomnia," a stylish horror/thriller from director William Malone ("House on Haunted Hill," "Masters of Horror,") Laura Baxter is a young woman, literally a "sleeping beauty," who suffers from a medical condition called "parasomnia." A childhood accident victim, she is actually sleeping her life away, awakening briefly on rare occasions. Art student Danny Sloan falls in love with her, unaware that her hospital neighbor, a terrifying mass murderer and mesmerist named Byron Volpe has other, more sinister plans. And, this movie even has a twist—the prison is co-ed and occasionally a male prisoner slips over to the female side to get some loving! A female inmate gets pregnant and in an attempt to find out how the male prisoner found his way over to the female side, the female warden beats the impregnated female. The beating eventually leads to the woman's death and the female inmates start a riot. They take control of the women's side of the prison and exact revenge on the warden. The warden goes insane. Jan Sterling is excellent as a street-smart, wise-cracking jailbird. Let's Go to Prison

Description:

John Lyshitski is a car stealing slacker, with a weed problem, and has been in Illinois' Rossmore State Penitentiary so many times, he knows it's entire population of both staff and cons by their fast names. Cursed with the old ill luck of being in the wrong place, at the wrong time, in possession of the wrong car, he's been deemed a lost cause repeat offender in the eyes of everyone else. When the heartless judge, who has been behind most of his sentences, goes to the big court house in the sky, John decides to ruin the man's legacy by having the judge's only offspring, Nelson Biederman IV, thrown in the slammer along with him. Here, the world-class selfish jerk learns a certain old lesson the hard way: Do unto others as you would have others do unto you. But has John somewhat gone too far in the payback department?
